The Central Organisation of Finnish Trade Unions SAK’s possible strike on Thursday 14 December would widely affect public transportation in Kirkkonummi. Helsinki Region Transport has received a preliminary statement from the employees’ organizations that all rail services and a large part of the bus services would halt on Thursday. More information about the situation regarding bus services will be given on Wednesday evening at the latest.

No alternative school transport will be arranged – classroom teaching in school according to the timetable
In Kirkkonummi the school bus routes might be affected due to the possible strike on Thursday 14 December. In case of a strike, no alternative transport will be arranged for the pupils with a HSL-bus ticket. School transport by taxi will run as usual.
Teaching in basic education and upper secondary school will be organised as usual as classroom teaching despite the possible strike. No distance teaching. If a pupil is forced to stay home because of transportation problems, the guardian or the student must make a normal notification of absence in Wilma.
Meals in schools and day-care centres as usual
The food service personnel in Kirkkonummi will not join the possible strike on Thursday. The sympathy strikes will not affect the school food delivery services in the centre or Masala either. In Veikkola the deliveries are carried out by the Post Office. If the deliveries in Veikkola fail, the food service personnel is able to take care of them in the Veikkola area on Thursday.
Cleaning will be carried out almost as usual on the municipal premises.
