Putkirikon yhteydessä vesijohtoon on saattanut päästä epäpuhtauksia, ja varotoimenpiteenä Espoon seudun ympäristöterveys on määrännyt vesijohdot desinfioitaviksi tällä hetkellä paineettomissa kiinteistöissä.
Vesijohtojen desinfiointi aloitetaan maanantaina 18.3.2024 noin kello 16 ja sen arvioitu kesto on 19.3.2024 klo 16 asti. Desinfioinnin aikana vettä ei saa käyttää muuhun kuin WC:n huuhteluun. Kloorattua vettä ei pidä juoda eikä käydä suihkussa mahdollisten ärsytysoireiden vuoksi.
Asukkaita kehotetaan juoksuttamaan asuntojensa hanoja niin, että kaikista hanoista tulevassa vedessä on selkeästi havaittava kloorin haju.
Desinfioinnin päätyttyä putkisto huuhdellaan. Huuhtelun aikana asukkaiden tulee juoksuttaa hanoja niin, että kloorattu vesi poistuu kiinteistöjen putkista.
Desinfioinnin ja huuhtelun jälkeen astuu voimaan hanaveden keittokehotus. Tästä tiedotetaan erikseen.
Huuhtelun jälkeen verkostosta otetaan vesinäytteet veden laadun varmistamiseksi.
Väliaikainen vedenjakelu järjestetään Vanhan Heikkiläntien, Vanhan Sairaalantien ja Tohtorinpolun risteyksessä noin kello 16 (omat astiat mukaan).
Veden käyttökielto on voimassa toistaiseksi.
Asiasta tiedotetaan seuraavan kerran tiistaina 19.3.2024 klo 16 mennessä.

A water pipe has been broken during an excavation on Monday 18 March 2024.
Impurities may have leaked in the pipe due to the pipe breakage, and Espoo Environmental Health Services have ordered as a safety measure that the water pipes be disinfected in the properties that are currently without pressure.
The disinfection of the water pipes will start on Monday 18 March 2024 around 16:00, and it is estimated to last until the 19 March at 16:00. During the disinfection you may only use the water to flush the toilet, nothing else. You should not drink or shower with chlorinated water because of possible rashes.
The inhabitants are urged to run water through the taps so that a smell of chlorine can be sensed from all the water that runs through the taps.
After the disinfection has been finished, the pipes will be flushed. During the flushing, the inhabitants shall run water through their taps so that the chlorinated water will leave the pipes of the property.
After the disinfection and rinsing, the inhabitants are ordered to boil their tap water. We will inform you about this separately.
After the rinsing, we will take water samples to verify the quality of the water.
A temporary water distribution will be arranged in the crossroads between Vanha Heikkiläntie, Vanha Sairaalantie and Tohtorinpolku at around 16:00 (bring your own containers).
Prohibition to use the water is in force until further notice.
We will inform you further on Tuesday 19 March 2024 before 16 o’clock.
